Anything but a conventional classroom, the new Sheep Station Gully
Environmental Learning Centre within St Stephens School Algester, is a
unique and future-focused facility. The award winning centre is designed
from eco-friendly and recycled materials, and has been developed to allow
students from both St Stephens School and Algester State School to
interact while they learn.

The contract involved the following components:

  • Underground reticulation system – conduits and pits
  • Power Distribution System including sub-mains, distribution boards
  • Cable support systems
  • Security system
  • CCTV system
  • 1KW Solar System
  • Power requirements to suit GLA’s and performing arts stage
  • BMS system – including rain water tank level sensor, monitoring of water
    flow, monitoring of solar system via a multifunction meter, monitoring of
    power consumption via a multifunction meter, monitoring of UV filtration
    system, monitoring of various building temperature points
  • Public address system
  • Smoke alarm system with security interface
  • MATV system
  • Audio visual requirements for performing arts stage
  • Emergency Lighting System installed in accordance with AS 2293
  • Energy efficient lighting
  • Certified Cat6 Communications System
